So lets be honest here…I am a lover of leopard, neon, glitz, bedazzling, sequins, and some things that many people may perceive as gaudy or tacky …but to JKP — its amazing and FAB!
Honestly, when I first thought of Rockport, style did not come to my mind. I always thought that they appealed to an older crowd, my have times changed! Shoes are trendier, prettier and feet are happier. Rockport sent me some shoes to have and to hold! Free shoes –yaaaaaaaaa!!!
How it all unfolded: I receive a box in the mail from Rockport … the Hubby excitedly rips the package open, thinking I am getting some new addidas/Rockport Running shoes. To his surprise, he pulls out a pair of high heeled leopard booties. His response? “Uhhhh these are not sneakies!”.
Naturally my face lit up, I whipped off my flats and slid into the nearly 4 inch heels, and to my pleasant surprise the shoes were not only extremely comfortable but also surprisingly LIGHT.
Best part is I will actually wear these! The leopard booties, grrrrrr, or should I say Presia Zip Shootie in leopard pony, feature adiPRENE by addias from Rockport’s Walkability Line.
Shooties!? — I love that they are called shooties! Adi-what!?
Adiprene by addidas is a new technology where basically, sport meets fashion.
- Adiprene lies beneath the heel of the footbead to absorb shock
- Adiprene lies beneath the forefoot of the footbed and helps to provide energy and rebound
[adiprene by adidas + fashion & trendiness = Rockport Walkabilty … in other words, happy pretty feet!]
Now all my friends know Jennie Kay is not a heel girl. Don’t get me wrong yes I do love heels and yes I do buy them (occasionally now, not as much as I did when I was single and still mingling) But I CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT walk in them…I am very awkward and there has been a few too many face plants, heel rolls, and tumbles in heels for this gal. Straight from the heart here it is….
Will I buy a pair? Absolutely, BUT, I will stick to Rockport flats unless I need them for an event, in which case you know I will be sporting these 🙂
The Pros
- Lightweight
- Comfortable
- Still a nice heel (thin and slender) I am not into chunky clunky heels
- Great with pants, skirts or shorts…very versatile.
- Stylish
The Cons
- My only concern is how the pony hair will hold up if I am caught in the rain one day with them on but I will be sure to keep you posted!
