Are you getting married in Newport, RI?
Well if so make sure you keep these things in mind…
- Not to rain on your parade but better safe than sorry……Arrange to have a location in case it rains there are only a few hidden gems to go inside and take pictures in {remember if it rains there are other weddings that day as well, so you don’t want them to beat you to the reservation}…and why not buy fab umbrellas like these and have and amazing picture like this!
- Get a Day of Coordinator if a Wedding Planner is not in the budget. Especially if you are having the ceremony in one place and reception in another…I mean you have already spent $$$ on your wedding at this point what is an extra $1500-$2200 if you know you will enjoy your day without a care in the world. Trying to coordinate people for essentially what is 2 different events can be extremely stressful! stress free=happy bride {Trust me on this one I was a pseudo wedding planner, just the other day …tough job!}
- Check to see if your day falls on any of the festival weekends…If it does plan for traffic and let your guests know 🙂
- When booking room blocks don’t forget about Middletown, RI . There are some fabulous hotels there for a much smaller bill, and are virtually minutes away from your location.
- Try some amazing restaurants while you are here in town…
- Brick Alley Pub Located on historic Thames Street, from Burgers to Ahi Tuna, you name it they have it. Diverse menu at great prices! *Call ahead* they are a Newport Hot Spot!
- Thames Street Kitchen locally sourced cuisine in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Menu changes daily and they are BYOB {there is a liquor store next door}. My husband and I went on a date night here it was fantastic!! Make sure you call in advanced to make a reservation!
- Pick up a Newport T-shirt or Picture Frame a great memory for your wedding weekend!
- Come back! we love to have you hear and as my son Benson says “I see you soon!”
