Priming your face is just as important as priming your walls in your home before your paint. A primer can make the biggest difference between a flawless face and a blotchy icky one. why you ask? keep reading…
I have several primers in my makeup kit to ensure when I start working my finished product is the best it can be. A primer evens out your canvas, helps to increase the longevity of makeup on your skin, they can reduce the appearance of fine lines and they can reduce the look of your large pores. Sign me up right! There are so many primers on the market now. Choosing the best one for your skin is essential to flawless results.
Here are 3 I keep handy in my makeup kit. These are my main squeezes!
1. Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer
I love this primer. It is great for all skin types and a little bit goes along way. I really do tend to grab this one for my sensitive skin ladies and the parched skin beauties like myself. I tend to apply this right when I begin and then I move onto another area of the face so it can work its magic before I apply a foundation over it.
2. Makeup Forever HD high Definition Primer in Green
Perfect for red skin that we want to make neutral. So rosacea, eczema, and even for the face that was out in the sun too long aka sunburned beauty . Apply this to cancel out that reddish tone in your face!
I will not only use it will my airbrush clients but also some of my mature and oily skin beauties. I tend to go through this primer the fastest out of all of them in my kit. I swear it keeps the foundation on the longest. It is a silicone base primer but I haven’t had any issues with “beading up” or the rubber cement rolling off your skin effect { i like to call it} that has happen to me before with some other primers
Let me know the primers you love to use on your skin!
