The four main ingredients in our Combat Winter Skin redness recipe are: Aloe Vera, Cucumber, Ginger and Carrots
As someone who suffers severely from dry skin and redness especially in the winter months, I have learned to pay close attention to the ingredients I put in my body and the reaction that I have with them which is often revealed through the appearance of the surface of my skin.
In ‘color theory’ -which I know quite a bit about as a hair-colorist and a makeup artist- you learn that green cancels out red. I decided to apply that to how I treat my skin and I was pleasantly surprised that the color theory translates over into your skin care regimen as well.
The Pros of These Ingredients:
Carrots: have a natural antiseptic; are high in beta carotene [which turns into Vitamin A]; have vitamins which help to repair the appearance of fine lines, hydrate dry skin, and prevent blemishes. Say Yes to Carrots is my go-to face wash for winter! [If you look at the ingredients it also contains Aloe Vera :)]
Ginger: anti oxidant, anti aging, anti inflammatory and immune booster, We love Go Ginger Face Moisturizer because it has a unique ability to help improve blood circulation to your skin [basically its giving your skin a workout!] and thus causes glowing beautiful skin!
Aloe Vera: heals, soothes and hydrates [remember you use this for a RED sunburn]
Cucumbers: anti-inflammatory properties; are very hydrating they are 95% water!
