We’ll call this a “vintage post”, shot back shortly after little Benson was born. For whatever reason, we’re just now getting around to posting, however, we find this post to be a true Jennie Kay shoot. Erin Mcginn & I decided to feature a styled shoot with my infamous traveling beauty parlour chair. We trotted around Aquidneck Island with my Pink Vintage Beauty Chair in tow and took pictures.
The recipe for this shoots success: fun, colorful, effortless, and stylish, yet shot in the most playful and fashionable way.
First stop: the private docks down in Bowens Wharf (Newport, RI) What’s more fun than this?!
Next Stop: The Clarke Cooke House…we drew in somewhat of a crowd – they thought we were street performers! Little did they know we were merely fashionistas :]
Then we made our way to Sachuest Beach (2nd Beach to the locals, Middletown, RI). A little sea salt & beach breeze does the hair good!
Dress: Sunday in Brooklyn (Similar)/ Shoes: Same Edelman Boutique/ Bracelets: Lily and Laura /Belt: Jcrew
How to get beachy waves: Wash your hair the night before & let air dry. Spray some Kevin Murphy Hair Resort Spray and braid it. Sleep with braid in, & undo in the morning, spray a little more Kevin Murphy Hair Resort Spray & voila! Beachy textured waves!
